DPS were engaged by UGL to scope and deliver the electrical construction and commissioning of the Kewdale sites “Rail Bottom Loading” project.
As a classified hazardous area, the company had to ensure appropriate construction techniques were used to remain compliant in a reasonably aged “brownfields” environment. Constant production and operations meetings had to be attended to ensure minimal disruption, including during the commissioning process. DPS were the only contractor on the project to avoid project delays resulting in additional works offered at BP Kwinana.
Key Responsibilities:
- Constant contractor engagement to ensure minimal schedule disruptions.
- Develop construction CRAW and implement daily safety discussions, focussing on operational engagement, and rail corridor risks.
- Ensure zero harm to anyone on site. Project was completed with zero LTI’s.
- Complete commissioning phase within project allocation.
- Provide vendor support and modification works throughout commissioning phase to ensure project success.
- Provide mobile plant and site facilities throughout the project.
