Following successful execution of previous projects, DPS were invited to interview and are now contracted for the commissioning of the Cockburn Cement Upgrade in Kwinana. Offering both Mechanical Commissioning and Electrical and Instrumentation services, Diamond
Power Services are responsible for stage 2 pre- energisation, stage 3 no load testing, stage 4 load testing and stage 5 functional design commissioning. This begins with switchroom initial energisation, field asset commissioning as well as brownfield tie in commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical and instrumentation commissioning from stage 2 (pre-energisation) through to stage 5 (Functional Design) and CCC handover.
- Mechanical commissioning from stage 2 (pre-energisation) through to stage 5 (Functional Design) and CCC handover.
- Electrical and Mechanical supervision across the commissioning team.
- Daily labour resource and progress meetings with the client (Adbri). Small projects including rectification and construction that could not be completed during construction phase (stage 1).
- Ongoing liaising with vendors including labour support through major asset commissioning.
- Daily pre-starts for entire commission team (including other company personnel regarding simops). Ongoing completions support to ensure site wide compliance is met throughout the energisation process.
- Ensure zero harm to anyone on site. Project is still progressing with zero LTI’s.
