Karara Mining Lease were several months over schedule when DPS were engaged which resulted in us being handed the construction of the filter presses as well and the commissioning phase.
As the project had not allocated any resources to completions, DPS were tasked with developing all test sheets (ITR’s) for every asset within the project, as well as engage with the permit hut and aid in the development of a commissioning plan to facilitate the energisation process. In the temporary absence of key project team leadership roles, DPS also provided a temporary commissioning manager as well as mechanical and electrical supervision. The total labour required for the project included 16 electrical (including 10 E&I techs), and 12 mechanical fitters. Additional works included substation rectification works to bring to Australian standards prior to energisation, as well as advise on the energisation process with KML on initial energisation of high voltage assets.
